Unifi Access installation at a large apartment complex

Replacing Outdated Door Systems with Modern Ubiquiti Hardware

We upgraded a large apartment building to a modern UniFi Access system, replacing an outdated and unreliable entry setup with a fully cloud‑managed access control solution. The project involved removing old metal panels and retrofitting the doors with new Ubiquiti UniFi Access hardware, including UA‑Hubs, readers, and clean mounting plates to cover the legacy equipment. Residents transitioned from traditional metal keys to secure NFC key cards, giving them fast, consistent access to the front entrance and the shared utility room where they pick up cleaning supplies and other essentials. The result was a streamlined, professional access control system that improves building security, simplifies management for the property owner, and enhances the daily experience for residents.

Here's the inside. It's rather confusing, let's compare it to a Unifi Access Hub
